Shas Sheehan will fight the Wandsworth & Merton constituency for the Liberal Democrats in the London Assembly elections on 1st May. "I will not be the invisible representative for Wandsworth & Merton," she promises. "Nobody knows who their current representative is, because Tories and Labour take people for granted and don't try to communicate. I pledge to fight for my constituents in the London Assembly and tell them what I'm doing through newsletters and online."

Shas has local roots. She was educated at Franciscan school and Graveney school, after her parents moved here from Pakistan, and currently lives in Putney. "Shas is a fantastic campaigner, and will fight hard for local people," says former Tooting parliamentary candidate Stephanie Dearden, "unlike the current Tory representative, who has made little attempt to reach out to local people."
