Hugh Brown has lived in the Putney and Roehampton constituency for over 40 years. After attending college, he made a career in the Department of Trade and Industry (now BIS), where he focussed on the financial aspects of Government relations with industry, and made many working contacts with industrial companies. Now retired, he attaches importance to the local council serving all the members of the Community, including teenagers, young adults and the elderly.
Benjamin Speedy has worked as a software developer in a mutual membership organisation in London for 12 years, living in the Putney Heath and Roehampton area since 2006. He is an active member of his nearby church, as a current PCC member and regular Sunday School leader. He enjoys landscape and portrait photography as well as drawing and playing the guitar.
Helen Speedy has lived in the Putney Heath/Roehampton area for 12 years. She began her career in children's books publishing before moving into a role in publishing recruitment and is now Associate Director of an independently owned recruitment firm. Helen is a parent governor at a local primary school and an active member and Sunday School volunteer at a local church. She is also a member of the Roehampton Garden Society and a keen vegetable grower.
