Southfields Needs Safer Streets

Southfields Liberal Democrat campaigner Duncan Lyons says the Council needs to act to make our streets safer.

‘Whether it is speeding cars, potholes or broken pavements, families say they are finding it harder to travel safely around the area,’ says Duncan.

Residents in Replingham Road say an additional pedestrian crossing is needed on the road. The Lib Dem team wants to hear from anyone who uses or crosses the road so we can help residents to make the road safer.

You can have your say by completing the brief survey here.

Labour and Conservative Councillors recently voted to make it harder for residents to raise their concerns. Wandsworth Council now says that petitions calling for safety improvements have to be signed by twice as many residents as before - even before they can be reviewed.
